Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Account Manager to manage a well-established book of business. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial lines insurance, including both admitted and non-admitted markets. The ideal candidate is a client-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and excels at maintaining strong carrier and client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Manage an existing book of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring timely servicing and high client retention.
- Handle both new and renewal business, including marketing, quoting, coverage reviews, and processing endorsements.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and a proactive service approach.
- Review insurance contracts and policies for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and complete certificates of insurance, proposals, policy summaries, and coverage reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cancellations, claims, audits, billing, and carrier coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support agency goals and contribute to revenue growth.
- Stay current on industry trends, products, and market developments.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Experience working with multiple commercial lines of coverage, including admitted and non-admitted carriers.
- Prior experience managing a large, established book of business in a brokerage setting.
- Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships in a client-facing role.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze policy language and coverage terms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
