Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager (Marketing)

Job Summary

Looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager to join a growing team. This role is integral to operations, supporting the marketing team in managing insurance submissions, preparing proposals, and ensuring seamless communication with clients.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor the marketing inbox daily to manage incoming renewal marketing requests and ensure timely distribution to team members.
  • Maintain and track all marketing submissions through the AMS platform for consistent follow-up and visibility.
  • Review marketing submissions for missing or incomplete information, collaborating with Sales Producers to gather necessary details.
  • Prepare and organize insurance applications for submission, verifying accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in drafting polished, client-focused proposals aligned with Sales Producer strategies and client objectives.
  • Coordinate post-bind communications by sending onboarding letters to clients and introducing the assigned Account Manager.
  • Review bound policies to confirm accuracy of coverage and alignment with quoted proposals.
  • Maintain and update client and policy information in the agency management system to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with rating accounts and providing preliminary indications as part of the submission process.
  • Support the marketing team with various tasks and special projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Prior experience in a Commercial Lines Assistant Account Manager role within an independent agency is required.
  • Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license - or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficiency in Epic software and familiarity with insurance applications and submissions.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to grammar and professionalism.
  • Self-sufficient and proactive, with the ability to work independently while being a team player.
  • Non-confrontational and collaborative, fostering a positive team environment.
  • A proven track record of consistent job tenure in previous roles is required.
