Job Summary

Looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Employee Benefits CSR to join a team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering exceptional service with a focus on education, advocacy, and prompt issue resolution. You will navigate complex data sets, communicate with carriers, and proactively address client concerns. This position requires a commitment to building strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and carriers while ensuring effective communication and timely resolutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality service by advocating for clients and responding promptly to inquiries.
  • Build meaningful, lasting relationships by prioritizing client needs and ensuring clear, professional communication throughout the resolution process.
  • Navigate complex data sets, including carrier websites, client records, and benefit plan details, to gather necessary information.
  • Ask insightful questions and review relevant documents to address client inquiries effectively.
  • Take ownership of client inquiries, advocating for their best interests. Provide solutions to a range of issues, including enrollment, eligibility, claims, and coverage.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
  • Maintain organized electronic and/or paper files and contribute to a suspense system to ensure follow-up on outstanding or pending matters.
  • Perform special projects as requested by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience in client advocacy, customer service, or a related field, preferably within the employee benefits insurance industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex data sets and systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and carriers.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using technology, including carrier websites and client management systems.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and addressing client needs.
  • Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license or willingness to obtain.
