Commercial Lines Account Manager – Workers’ Compensation Focus 65k-70k base salary
Location: Nutley, NJ (Hybrid Schedule – 3 days in-office / 2 remote after 90 days)
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 Base (commensurate with experience)

About the Role:
Our independent insurance brokerage, located in Nutley, NJ, is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Manager with a strong background in Workers’ Compensation to manage a dynamic and growing book of business. This position supports a portfolio of over $3 million in Workers' Compensation premium and an additional $500K in commercial lines premium, spanning a wide range of industries. This is an internal-facing role working directly with Brokers—not directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day servicing of a $3M Workers’ Compensation book, plus $500K in additional commercial accounts

Act as a liaison between Brokers and all servicing required on accounts

Monitor and track policy renewals, ensuring deadlines are met and coverage remains uninterrupted

Review policies, binders, and endorsements for accuracy and compliance with coverage requests

Coordinate with Placement Specialists to secure quotes and binders for new and renewal business

Handle carrier communications regarding changes, cancellations, and compliance issues

Maintain organized and up-to-date records in the AMS360 management system

Provide consistent support to Brokers to ensure seamless execution of client service deliverables

Stay informed on industry and carrier trends, particularly in Workers’ Compensation regulations and underwriting appetite

Perform other administrative or support duties as needed
Qualifications:

Active New Jersey Property & Casualty License (Required)

Minimum of 3 years' experience in Commercial Lines Account Management

Strong expertise in Workers’ Compensation policies and coverage structures

Familiarity with various industry classifications and their WC implications

Experience with AMS360 and ImageRight preferred

High proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

Excellent attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage priorities independently
