Marketing Specialist
Location: James Island, SC
Schedule: Hybrid (in-office on Wednesdays)
Compensation: $60,000–$80,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time
A local, well respected, and established insurance agency serving the South Carolina coast, is seeking a Marketing Specialist to join thier team. This position is opening due to an upcoming retirement, with a structured transition and training period in place through the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with Account Managers and Producers to market accounts across multiple carriers

Strategically place intricate coastal accounts with appropriate insurance markets

Use and manage AMS 360 (training available) and other quoting systems

Support renewal and new business efforts in partnership with the internal team

Represent the agency in professional settings including carrier meetings and networking events
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required
-
3–5 years of experience in a property & casualty insurance agency environment

Experience with coastal accounts preferred (5+ years ideal)

Familiarity with AMS 360 or similar management systems (can train)

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple carrier relationships

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; professional presence is essential
Position Details

Account Types: Mid-to-large accounts (50–250), generalist focus (construction, hotels, restaurants)

Software: AMS 360, manual quoting systems

401(k): Eligible after one year (3% employer contribution regardless of employee contributions)

Start Timeline: Targeting a hire within one month; training period available before year-end

Interview Process: Initial screening followed by 2–4 weeks of interviews and onboarding
