Job Title: Employee Benefits Account Manager

 

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Account Manager to provide day-to-day client service and support for employee benefits accounts. This role works closely with Account Executives and clients to ensure smooth plan administration, strong client relationships, and high-quality service delivery. The ideal candidate brings strong communication, organizational, and benefits knowledge to manage a range of tasks from client inquiries to open enrollment coordination.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for client issues, questions, claims, and billing concerns via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person visits.
  • Support client retention efforts by fostering strong client and carrier relationships.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives to ensure seamless service and communication with clients.
  • Facilitate and participate in open enrollment meetings, including preparation of materials and benefit presentations.
  • Maintain and update client records in agency management systems such as TAM/EPIC and shared drives.
  • Create and distribute employee communication materials, including benefits booklets.
  • Utilize and manage online enrollment portals such as Ease, Employee Navigator, and other HR platforms.
  • Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements, including COBRA, annual notices, and Form 5500 filings.
  • Provide consistent updates to producers and ensure all client communications are responded to within 24 hours.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma required; BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Valid Life and Health insurance license is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years of employee benefits account management experience.
  • Previous group benefits experience is required, with self-funded experience. 
  • Experience with EPIC or other agency management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with enrollment platforms (Ease, Employee Navigator, etc.) is necessary.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

 

Compensation Package

  • Compensation: Between $80K–$140K (based on experience)
