Key Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and pursue potential clients through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events.

  • Needs Assessment and Risk Analysis: Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' businesses to understand their unique insurance requirements and identify potential risks.

  • Insurance Proposal Development: Design and present tailored insurance solutions that address clients' specific needs and risk exposures.

  • Negotiation and Closing: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with insurance carriers to secure the most advantageous coverage for clients.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and addressing any inquiries or concerns.

  • Policy Renewal and Retention: Review and update clients' policies regularly to ensure coverage remains aligned with their evolving needs, aiming to retain clients at each renewal.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: A high school diploma is the minimum requirement; however, a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is often preferred.

  • Licensing: Completion of state-required insurance producer licensing courses and passing the licensing exam are mandatory.

  • Experience: Prior experience in commercial insurance sales or a related field is highly desirable.
