Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Producer with a strong sales orientation and a deep understanding of insurance products and markets. This role is responsible for developing new business, retaining existing accounts, and cultivating long-term client relationships. Success in this position requires strategic networking, technical insurance knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, client-focused environment.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and key decision-makers.
  • Provide qualified leads to internal teams and support cross-selling efforts across departments.
  • Retain and manage an assigned book of business in alignment with company retention goals.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations and communications to prospective and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently and professionally.
  • Maintain current knowledge of insurance coverages, industry trends, compliance standards, and carrier/vendor practices.
  • Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences as needed.
  • Travel locally and occasionally out of state for business development and training purposes.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of prior sales experience; insurance industry sales preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a hybrid work schedule.
  • Strong decision-making skills, particularly when navigating ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using technology platforms related to CRM, presentations, and client management.
  • Professional insurance designations such as CIC, CPCU, CRM, or ARM (preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking, and professional development.
