Job Title: Commercial Insurance Producer
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Producer with a strong sales orientation and a deep understanding of insurance products and markets. This role is responsible for developing new business, retaining existing accounts, and cultivating long-term client relationships. Success in this position requires strategic networking, technical insurance knowledge, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic marketing plan to meet and exceed sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients and key decision-makers.
- Provide qualified leads to internal teams and support cross-selling efforts across departments.
- Retain and manage an assigned book of business in alignment with company retention goals.
- Deliver effective sales presentations and communications to prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with internal service teams to ensure client needs are met efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain current knowledge of insurance coverages, industry trends, compliance standards, and carrier/vendor practices.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences as needed.
- Travel locally and occasionally out of state for business development and training purposes.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Active Property & Casualty and Life & Health insurance licenses (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of prior sales experience; insurance industry sales preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a hybrid work schedule.
- Strong decision-making skills, particularly when navigating ambiguity.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in using technology platforms related to CRM, presentations, and client management.
- Professional insurance designations such as CIC, CPCU, CRM, or ARM (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, networking, and professional development.
