Bookkeeper
Insurance agency is seeking a Bookkeeper to join their team. They are looking for someone with a strong commitment to excellence and precision, and someone who takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and delivering reliable results.
Seeking someone who is detail-oriented and experienced in insurance bookkeeping. Must be familiar with agency operations and ideally come from an insurance agency. Primary focus of the role is client accounting / reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts receivable
- Reconcile client invoices, and payments
- Prepare financial reports and assist with monthly/quarterly/annual closings
- Maintain accurate records of premiums, and policy-related transactions
- Collaborate with the insurance team to ensure accurate financial data tracking
- Assist with audits and compliance requirements specific to the insurance industry
- Utilize accounting software to manage and streamline bookkeeping tasks
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Proficiency in Excel. Applied EPIC experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and insurance-related financial processes
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members and external stakeholders
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus
