ABOUT US:
The Jonus Group is a specialized insurance staffing firm that connects top talent with industry-leading clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Middle Market Underwriter to join our A-Rated international client’s team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in underwriting complex middle market accounts across multiple lines of business, including property, casualty, general liability, and workers' compensation. This role requires strong analytical skills, market knowledge, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with brokers and clients to drive profitable growth.
COMPENSATION:
- $120,000 - $160,000/year

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of middle market P&C underwriting experience, preferably with middle market accounts.
- Strong knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and P&C industry dynamics.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven approach.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal business for middle market accounts within established guidelines and authority levels.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of middle market accounts, balancing growth and profitability objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, agents, and clients to drive business development.
- Work closely with internal teams, including claims, risk control, and actuarial, to support underwriting decisions.
- Stay informed of industry developments, competitive landscape, and emerging risks.
