Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Director/AVP to lead our commercial lines sales team and drive business growth within a specified territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial insurance sales and a proven track record of developing and executing successful sales strategies. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the assigned territory.
- Lead and mentor a team to drive sales performance and ensure team cohesion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, identifying their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Drive the expansion of our market presence and identify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and networking.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
- Provide regular sales reporting and performance analysis to senior management.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Professional designations (such as CIC, CPCU, ARM) are preferred.
- Proven track record of success in commercial insurance sales and business development.
- Prior experience in a leadership role, with the ability to motivate and guide a high-performing sales team.
- Strong understanding of the commercial insurance market and competitive landscape.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
