Job Summary
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Workers' Compensation Broker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for effectively negotiating workers' compensation insurance policies on behalf of clients, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to evaluate their workers' compensation insurance needs and risk exposure.
- Market out to E&S carriers and quote new business submissions.
- Research and analyze insurance options from various providers to secure the most favorable terms for clients.
- Negotiate policy terms, conditions, and premiums with insurance carriers on behalf of clients.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on workers' compensation regulations and compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all client interactions and policy negotiations.
- Stay current on industry trends, changes in regulations, and advancements in workers' compensation insurance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Workers' Compensation Broker or in a similar role.
- At least 3 years of broker experience is required. 3+ years preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of workers' compensation insurance policies, regulations, and coverage options.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for conducting research and analyzing insurance options.
- A valid insurance broker's license in accordance with state regulations.
- Willingness/ability to travel as needed for client meetings, conventions, business engagements, etc.
Compensation Package
- Compensation: Between $100k-$125k (based on experience) + bonus opportunities.
