Job Title: Commercial Insurance Agent
Job Summary:
A growing family-owned insurance agency is seeking a motivated and dedicated Commercial Insurance Agent to help expand their client base. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse team while gaining valuable industry experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating new business, managing inbound leads, and contributing to the continued growth of the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Generate new business by marketing and reaching out to prospective clients.
- Quote new and renewal business, assisting the account management team as needed.
- Handle the entire process of getting new business written, from initial outreach to finalizing the sale.
- Collaborate with the service team for ongoing client servicing and account maintenance.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships.
- Stay up-to-date on insurance products and industry regulations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Required License: Property & Casualty (P&C) License.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in commercial insurance. Preferred background in contractors, fire, or captive insurance.
- Sales Experience: Proven ability to produce at least $60K in revenue.
- Software Skills: Familiarity with AMS360 or similar insurance management software.
- Soft Skills: Must be ethical, knowledgeable, honest, and dedicated to educating clients about their insurance needs. Strong values in diversity and inclusivity are a must.
Compensation Package:
- Base Salary: $40K - $50K (based on experience).
- Bonus Structure: Additional performance-based bonuses.
