Job Description
Responsible:
- Direct all underwriting activity for all new and renewal commercial business.
- Must meet agency objectives for account development and retention
- Communicate current market trends to account managers
- Work with management monthly to determine which accounts will be remarketed and establish appropriate timeless and marketing strategies
- Proficient with online portals for carriers
- Works with agency operations and customer service department to ensure all processes and procedures are up to date and efficient
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of insurance industry experience related to servicing accounts
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent retail agency experience
- Property and Casualty license is a must
- Technical knowledge of product area or industry
- Ability to provide consultation and expert advice to management on risk management issues
- Must be able to cross-sell and advise on new product offerings
- Knowledge of computer software packages, including Word and Excel
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects
