Commercial Insurance Account Manager
Job Summary
An established agency is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Account Manager with a strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance coverages. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with both admitted and non-admitted carriers and will manage a large, established book of business, ensuring retention and supporting revenue growth through excellent client service and policy management.
Responsibilities
- Manage a large, established book of business, handling both new and renewal business.
- Conduct coverage reviews and process endorsements to ensure appropriate coverage for clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships in a client-facing role.
- Review insurance contracts for accuracy and ensure policy details align with client needs.
- Prepare certificates, proposals, policy summaries, and policy reviews.
- Address and resolve client and account issues, including cancellations, claims, audits, and carrier-related concerns.
- Work both independently and collaboratively, as needed, to support business growth.
- Retain all assigned accounts through proactive client engagement and problem-solving techniques.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience with multiple lines of commercial insurance coverage.
- Proven ability to manage a large book of business in a client-facing role.
- Holds an active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license.
- Familiarity with both admitted and non-admitted insurance carriers.
- Experience in reviewing and interpreting insurance contracts.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills to handle complex client needs.
- Previous construction industry experience is preferred.
- Preferred Agency Management System Experience: EPIC
- At least 1 year of relevant insurance industry experience required. 3+ years preferred.
- Above average computer skills with the capacity to master essential software programs.
