Key Responsibilities:

• • Supervise claims staff in daily operations

  • Assist management with recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members

  • Ensure compliance with Workers’ Compensation laws and regulatory reporting requirements

  • Promote team performance through ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluations; recommend merit adjustments for management review

  • Provide technical guidance on complex claims, investigations, litigation, and client-specific requirements

  • Serve as a liaison to resolve claim-related or procedural issues for clients and employees

  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, policies, and procedures

  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance

  • Follow all safety rules and regulations as part of the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP)

  • Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Workers' Compensation Claims Adjuster or Supervisor background within Washington, Oregon, and Alaska Indemnity claims
• WA Adjuster's license
• Knowledge of Washington state workers' compensation laws, regulations, and industry practices
• Proficient in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Job Description

• Provide executive-level oversight of general liability claims operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective resolution of claims
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of examiners, supervisors, and managers
• Implement and monitor best practices for claims handling, litigation management, and customer service
• Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure departmental goals are met or exceeded
• Oversee complex and high-exposure claims, including large loss reviews and settlement strategies
• Collaborate with underwriting, actuarial, legal, and senior leadership to align claims strategy with corporate objectives
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Experience managing multi-jurisdictional claims and working with TPAs or internal claim teams
• Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver training materials for new and existing claims adjusters, emphasizing best practices in Commercial Multiline (BOP, Commercial Auto, GL) claims handling
• Assess current claims-adjusting workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
• Build and implement strategic processes to standardize training content, documentation, and evaluation methods
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts and cross-functional teams to ensure training aligns with regulatory requirements and organizational goals
• Monitor training effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback surveys, and periodic audits; revise curriculum as needed
• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and evolving claims practices to continuously update training materials

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the insurance industry, including hands-on exposure to Commercial Multiline lines of business: BOP, Commercial Auto, and General Liability
• 1–2 years of supervisory or lead experience, such as mentoring or guiding team members, with a track record of delivering effective coaching
• Demonstrated ability to develop training programs, instructional materials, and process documentation
• Solid understanding of claims adjusting principles and compliance requirements within the Commercial Multiline space
• Proven skills in strategic thinking and process improvement, with experience translating complex concepts into clear, actionable training plans
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with previous training experience
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
