Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
The role of Commercial Lines Account Manager involves delivering detail-oriented account management and exceptional service for commercial insurance clients. This includes overseeing policy management, ensuring proper coverage placement, and maintaining strong client relationships to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for commercial insurance clients, offering guidance and addressing inquiries.
- Handle all aspects of account management, including policy renewals, endorsements, certificates, and changes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal team members.
- Assess client needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions to protect their businesses.
- Negotiate terms, coverage, and pricing with underwriters and carriers to meet client requirements.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain accurate client records.
- Educate clients on policy details, updates, and opportunities to optimize coverage.
- Support sales teams in onboarding new clients and providing pre- and post-sale account support.
- Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to provide competitive insurance solutions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience as an Account Manager, preferably in commercial insurance.
- Active insurance license(s) as required by state regulations, or the ability to obtain one.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverage options, and underwriting practices.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in insurance software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
