Senior Actuarial Analyst
Job Summary
Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Actuarial Analyst to join an innovative and fast-paced team. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead complex actuarial analyses, influence critical business decisions, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge processes. As part of the team, you will play a pivotal role in regulatory rate filings, pricing, business analysis, and product development initiatives. This hybrid position requires two mandatory in-office days per week at Stamford, CT location, providing a balance of collaborative in-office time and the convenience of remote work.
Compensation Package

Responsibilities
- Lead regulatory rate filings and system rate implementations for commercial lines, focusing on efficiency and quality improvements.
- Define and execute a long-term filings transformation roadmap while managing current-state filings capabilities.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Product, Technology, and regulatory bodies to enhance efficiency, quality, and responsiveness.
- Utilize automation, artificial intelligence, and modern analytical tools to improve processes and generate scalable business insights.
- Establish robust peer-review and governance practices, addressing process gaps effectively.
- Represent the company’s position with regulators, auditors, and external partners as needed.
- Contribute to rate indications, reserving analyses, profitability studies, and other actuarial projects across various lines of business, including BOP, Umbrella, Workers' Compensation, and Commercial Auto.
- Support diverse product sets, including liquor liability and catastrophe-exposed perils, by applying business and actuarial expertise to develop effective solutions.
- Identify and implement improved methods and processes to enhance team effectiveness, presenting analyses and recommendations to influence decisions across all levels.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Prior experience with rate filings is required.
- Passing the CAS Ratemaking exam (Exam 5 — Basic Ratemaking and Estimating Claim Liabilities) is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of actuarial pricing/reserving experience in Property & Casualty insurance.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, or similar data analysis tools.
