Account Manager (Property & Casualty)
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Account Manager to join a team This full-time position is an integral part of our Property & Casualty (P&C) department, where you will manage client insurance portfolios, serve as the primary point of contact for service and renewals, and identify opportunities for cross-selling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, a deep understanding of P&C insurance, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Policy Servicing: Process policy changes, endorsements, and billing inquiries efficiently and accurately.
- Renewal Management: Proactively review client accounts prior to policy expiration, recommend coverage adjustments, and negotiate terms with carriers.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary liaison between clients and underwriters, providing prompt and accurate responses to coverage or rate inquiries.
- Account Rounding: Identify gaps in coverage and cross-sell additional P&C products to existing clients.
- Claims Support: Assist clients with initial claims reporting and facilitate communication between insured parties and adjusters.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files in agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic or AMS360) to minimize errors and omissions (E&O) risk.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the team and ensure client satisfaction.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Licensing: Active Property & Casualty Insurance License for the resident state is required.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in an insurance agency or brokerage setting is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred, particularly for commercial lines.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with specialized agency management software (e.g., Saggitta or Vertafore).
- Professional Designations: Currently pursuing or holding a professional insurance designation such as CPCU, CIC, CRM, or ARM is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build and maintain client relationships, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to identifying client needs.
