SBU Team Lead
Job Summary

Compensation Package
- Base Salary: Up to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- Additional Compensation: New business commission and bonus potential tied to achieving goals, including carrier consolidation and adherence to workflows.
- Equipment: Company-provided equipment for remote work.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a dispersed team of professionals across multiple locations, ensuring alignment and collaboration.
- Oversee the servicing of a small book of small business commercial accounts while supporting team members in their roles.
- Develop, implement, and optimize workflows and processes to enhance team efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Assist with marketing and quoting efforts, with a focus on carrier consolidation initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with leadership to achieve organizational goals and ensure the team meets performance metrics.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a cohesive and motivated team environment.
- Periodically visit office locations if working remotely, to maintain strong team connections and operational alignment.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in small business underwriting (SBU) and team leadership. Candidates with slightly less experience may be considered at a lower salary range.
- Licenses/Certifications: Property & Casualty (P&C) license required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic software is strongly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership and team-building abilities, excellent communication skills, process-oriented mindset, and the ability to motivate and unify a team.
- Location Flexibility: Preference for candidates based in Birmingham or Troy, AL, with hybrid work options available. Fully remote candidates within Alabama or nearby states may also be considered, with occasional travel to office locations.
