Employee Benefits Account Executive
Job Summary:
Seeking a dynamic and results-driven Employee Benefits Account Executive to join the team. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to clients, managing employee benefits programs and ensuring exceptional service delivery. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, managing all aspects of their employee benefits programs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to gain an in-depth understanding of their business needs and employee benefits goals.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and propose tailored benefits solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations and alignment with client expectations.
- Provide expert guidance on benefit plan offerings, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness programs.
- Conduct regular benefits reviews and provide recommendations for plan modifications, cost-saving strategies, and enhanced employee engagement.
- Facilitate benefits plan renewals, manage open enrollment processes, and oversee communication strategies to educate employees on available options.
- Negotiate with insurance carriers and vendors to secure competitive rates and services.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to benefits programs efficiently and accurately.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to advise clients effectively.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and data analyses to support decision-making processes.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or in a similar role within the employee benefits or insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and related regulatory requirements (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, ERISA).
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively and build lasting relationships.
- Proficiency in client relationship management tools and relevant software applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification in employee benefits or insurance (e.g., CEBS, PHR) is a plus but not required.
