Underwriting/Operations Supervisor – Commercial Property
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and experienced Underwriting/Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a Commercial Property division. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in insurance operations, team leadership, and process improvement to ensure the seamless execution of branch workflows and compliance with internal procedures. This role also involves managing and developing operations staff, handling complex policy transactions, and serving as the primary contact for office operations and facilities support.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary: $64,490 – $90,447 (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operational workflows and procedures for the Commercial Property branch office.
- Manage, train, and develop a team of operations staff to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex endorsements, policy changes, and cancellations.
- Conduct operational audits to ensure compliance with company policies and consistency in processes.
- Act as the primary contact for branch activities, facilities coordination, and technology-related needs.
- Collaborate with Building Management, Facilities, and IT teams to address office requirements.
- Support special projects and operational initiatives as assigned by branch leadership.
- Provide administrative and operational support to branch leadership to drive overall efficiency.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Associate’s Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance operations, underwriting support, policy administration, or a related field.
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience is required.
- Strongly prefer candidates with Commercial Property insurance experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and workflow management.
- Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with insurance policy administration systems, databases, and Microsoft Windows applications.
- Strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve their full potential.
