Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager (Sr. EBAM)

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Employee Benefits Account Manager (Sr. EBAM) to join a dedicated team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in employee benefits, particularly in self-funded health plans, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually
  • Benefits:
    • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance

Responsibilities

  • Manage and service a portfolio of 8-10 clients, primarily credit unions, with an average employee size of 250 (range: 100-800 employees).
  • Handle group medical, group life, dental, vision, and ancillary lines of coverage, with a focus on self-funded health plans (70% of accounts).
  • Conduct RFPs, quoting, and renewal processes for client accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through in-person and online meetings with senior executives (e.g., CFOs).
  • Provide professional and technical expertise to clients, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and maintain a high level of knowledge in employee benefits.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licenses/Designations: Active Life & Health (L&H) license required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years in employee benefits account management, with a strong emphasis on self-funded health plans.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with quoting and renewal processes; experience with AMS systems is a plus but not required.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives.
