Risk Management Associate - Commercial Insurance Sales

Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and results-driven Risk Management Associate to join a Commercial Insurance Sales team. In this role, be responsible for acquiring and retaining commercial property and casualty clients with an average annual premium of $25,000 and above. You will proactively engage with prospects and clients to build strong relationships, promote agency growth, and consistently achieve or exceed annual sales goals. This position requires a commitment to delivering best-in-class service and maintaining the highest professional standards.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $50,000 - $125,000 annually (based on experience)
  • Commission: Uncapped earning potential

Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business sales by contacting prospects and following the agency sales process.
  • Maintain an active sales pipeline with measurable progress and accurate tracking in the agency management system.
  • Schedule and conduct consultative sales presentations with prospects.
  • Gather relevant business and underwriting information to provide tailored proposals.
  • Offer informed advice and recommendations to ensure appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Build and maintain a strong referral network through relationships with centers of influence, networking groups, and clients.
  • Cross-sell additional products and services to clients and prospects.
  • Foster positive client relationships through consistent execution of the agency’s client relationship program.
  • Support retention and growth of the existing book of business by adhering to established renewal processes.
  • Stay informed about industry changes, emerging risks, and coverage solutions to effectively advise clients and mitigate E&O exposure.
  • Accurately document client and prospect interactions in the agency management system.
  • Continuously enhance sales skills through training and development.
  • Develop expertise in target industry niches by participating in relevant associations and networking groups.
  • Actively participate in sales, department, and company meetings to share knowledge and strategies.
  • Meet and exceed annual performance and sales goals.
  • Represent the company professionally and ethically at all times.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years of successful business-to-business consultative sales experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, organized, and energetic team player.
  • Experience with CRM and sales management systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
