Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary
Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage and develop relationships with a diverse portfolio of commercial clients, ensuring their insurance and risk management needs are met with professionalism and care. This role involves working closely with sales, underwriting, and claims departments to deliver superior customer experiences. Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, ensuring their needs are met with timely and accurate solutions.
- Policy Management: Handle the day-to-day servicing of commercial clients, including policy renewals, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and audits.
- New Business Development: Assist in the preparation and presentation of proposals for prospective clients, including analysis of coverage options.
- Risk Assessment: Work with clients to evaluate their risk exposures and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal departments, such as underwriting and claims, to advocate for the client and resolve issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all insurance policies and activities are compliant with company policies, government regulations, and industry standards.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in the company’s CRM and other systems.
- Training & Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, products, and regulations in the commercial insurance industry.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience as an Account Manager in commercial lines insurance or a related field.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Licensing: Holds an active P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in insurance industry software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and CRM tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively explain insurance concepts and products to clients.
- Organizational Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to identify and resolve client issues.
- Customer-Centric Attitude: A commitment to providing excellent customer service with a focus on building lasting relationships.
