Commercial Insurance Manager - Hybrid

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Insurance Manager to join a team at a well-established, family-owned insurance agency with over 125 years of history. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of professionals while managing a portfolio of commercial accounts. The position is hybrid, with the flexibility to work from home two days a week after the training and onboarding period.

Compensation Package

  • Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 (commensurate with experience)
  • Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package, including reimbursements for insurance costs
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days remote per week after onboarding)

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of 10-13 Risk Specialists to foster professional growth and performance.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings, annual performance reviews, and ongoing development discussions.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new Commercial Lines team members.
  • Ensure adherence to agency policies, expectations, and industry regulations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Quote renewal business and provide minimal support for new business quoting.
  • Utilize AMS360 software for account management and operations.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licensure: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license is mandatory.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Commercial Lines Account Management at an independent agency.
    • Management experience is preferred but not mandatory; leadership experience is required.
  • Account Expertise:
    • Experience managing a variety of accounts, including contractors, landscapers, construction, real estate, retail, and restaurants.
    • Familiarity with both small and large market accounts.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in AMS360 software is a plus.
