Job Summary

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager to join a dynamic team. This role is integral in managing and growing a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring excellent service delivery, and fostering long-lasting client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary contact for a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and coverage needs.
  • Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and cancellations while ensuring all activities comply with company policies.
  • Provide expert advice on insurance options and offer solutions that meet individual business needs.
  • Collaborate with underwriters and carriers to negotiate terms, prepare proposals, and secure competitive rates for clients.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases, and policy details to ensure timely delivery of renewals, policy changes, and customer communications.
  • Proactively identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities to expand coverage for existing clients.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure efficient and effective management of client accounts.
  • Stay up to date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks in the insurance industry.
  • Build trust with clients by adhering to ethical standards, ensuring transparency, and providing proactive communication.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education & Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance or account management is required.
  • Licensing:
    • An active Property and Casualty Insurance license or the ability to obtain one within the first few months of employment is required.
  • Skills & Proficiencies:
    • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance policies, terms, and regulatory requirements.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to tailor communication to diverse audiences.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with agency management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic) is a plus.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to providing outstanding customer service in client relationships.
