Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employee Benefits Executive Team Lead to join a team. This is a hybrid role requiring three days in-office per week. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in employee benefits, leadership, and client management. This position combines individual contributions with people leadership responsibilities, including managing a team, overseeing a book of business, handling escalations, and addressing complex client accounts. Compensation Package

  • Total Compensation: $140,000 - $200,000 annually (includes base salary and variable compensation tied to the book of business).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 3-4 professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Oversee and manage a substantial book of business, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for escalations and complex client inquiries.
  • Maintain a client-facing role, building and nurturing strong relationships with clients.
  • Provide strategic advice and solutions for clients with self-funded plans and groups of 500+ lives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Support the transition to the Epic platform later this year, ensuring a smooth and effective implementation.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Licensure: Active Life and Health (L&H) license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee benefits, with a focus on self-funded plans and managing groups of 500+ lives.
  • Proven experience in people management, including leading and developing teams.
  • Strong client-facing skills with the ability to handle escalations and complex accounts effectively.
  • Familiarity with BenefitPoint and/or Epic platforms is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
