Senior Claims Specialist - Multi-Line Adjuster (GL/Property Damage, BI, Commercial Auto)

Job Summary

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Specialist to join a team. This role involves handling claims across multiple lines of coverage, including General Liability, Commercial Auto, Property Damage, Bodily Injury, and Litigation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in claims investigation, coverage analysis, and resolution, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This is a hybrid position, requiring three days per week in the office.

Compensation Package

  • Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year (based on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret policy conditions, exclusions, and endorsements to resolve coverage and liability issues.
  • Prepare reservation of rights letters, non-waiver agreements, and coverage disclaimers.
  • Evaluate and adjust claim reserves to reflect potential exposure accurately.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, including obtaining statements, records, and other evidentiary materials.
  • Document and report on investigation findings and claims handling activities.
  • Negotiate settlements through mediation, arbitration, or court-supervised efforts.
  • Manage and direct defense counsel, independent adjusters, and other third-party vendors.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, claimants, and other stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed to company offices, customer locations, and litigation-related events.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in:
    • Coverage review, including interpreting policies and agreements.
    • Claims investigation, including obtaining statements and retaining experts.
    • Claims administration, including compliance with laws and procedures.
    • Claims settlement, including preparation of legal documents and participation in court proceedings.
  • Strong knowledge of coverage, negligence principles, investigation, and negotiation techniques.
  • Active Adjuster License (or ability to obtain and maintain state licenses as required).
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of 100-125 claims, including litigation cases.
  • Experience handling liability claims in one or more of the following states: FL, GA, AL, NC, SC, VA, and PA.
  • Excellent judgment, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills for interacting with clients, claimants, and legal professionals.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
