Commercial Lines Broking Associate, Consolidations - Select
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and skilled Commercial Lines Broking Associate to join a Consolidations team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to influence and negotiate with trading partners, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients and prospective clients. You will work closely with senior staff to coordinate consolidation activities for new and renewal business, supporting business retention and production goals. This position requires a strong understanding of commercial property and casualty insurance, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, carrier representatives, and internal associates.
Compensation Package
- Base Salary Range: $53,500 - $66,100 (depending on experience, qualifications, and business needs)

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Client Advisors and Account Managers to develop and execute consolidation strategies.
- Lead competitive coverage consolidation processes, demonstrating strong negotiation skills to achieve cost, coverage, and capacity targets.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with underwriters at key trading partners.
- Participate in program design and placement strategy meetings with senior staff, client advisors, and account executives.
- Promote the use of strategic trading partners to ensure secure and dependable relationships.
- Work with National Placement resources to address clients’ comprehensive coverage needs.
- Assist senior staff with larger, more complex placements as needed.
- Prepare and review insurance program designs, submissions, and applications for underwriting.
- Negotiate best-in-class coverage terms, conditions, capacity, and cost with trading partners.
- Prepare coverage comparisons based on quotations and proposals from underwriters.
- Stay informed about market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies.
- Adhere to authorized workflows and standard operating procedures to maintain consistency across the organization.
Qualifications/Requirements
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Commercial Property and Casualty insurance.
Professional Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed Property & Casualty insurance producer in resident state.
- Preferred: Insurance designation such as ARM or CPCU.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent professional designation.
