Job Summary

Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Broking Consultant to join the team. In this role, act as a trusted advisor to clients by developing tailored insurance solutions and fostering long-term relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in commercial lines insurance and broking, accompanied by excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with clients, providing expert advice on commercial insurance policies and coverage options.
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to negotiate terms, evaluate policy offerings, and secure optimal solutions for clients.
  • Work closely with internal teams to analyze client needs, risks, and objectives to create customized insurance programs.
  • Present and explain policy options, endorsements, and updates to clients in clear and accessible language.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products that benefit the client’s business.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, regulatory requirements, and industry developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Monitor and review policy renewals, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Resolve client inquiries and concerns promptly, delivering exceptional customer service with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records and data in the customer relationship management system (CRM).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Broker, Consultant, or in a similar insurance-focused role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, policies, and industry processes.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset and the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Analytical problem-solver who can assess risk and provide tailored solutions based on client needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex insurance concepts into simple language.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and learning about insurance trends.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications or licenses are highly desirable.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, insurance, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
