Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM)
Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines Account Manager (CLAM) to join a team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless account management and delivering exceptional customer service to the clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lines insurance, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for providing top-tier client support. This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 annually (higher compensation considered for candidates with extensive experience).
- Retirement Plan: Simple IRA.
- Work Arrangement: Fully onsite preferred; hybrid option available (2 days remote, 3 days in-office).

Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Process new business packets, financing agreements, and policy documents.
- Coordinate with carriers to obtain and review renewal quotes.
- Collaborate with producers to finalize renewals and send quotes to insureds.
- Ensure accurate issuance of certificates, endorsements, and policy updates.
- Manage carrier and state filings (e.g., CCB, DOLI).
Policy Management
- Process policy endorsements, issue ID cards, and handle invoices.
- Investigate and resolve policy/endorsement errors or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system (AMS).
Claims & Audits
- Assist insureds with filing claims and track claim progress.
- Process direct-bill and agency-bill audits, ensuring accurate invoicing.
Client Service & Support
- Provide exceptional customer service to insureds and carriers.
- Respond to billing inquiries and carrier questions.
- Attend carrier meetings and stay updated on carrier appetites.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance account management (preferred).
- Active Oregon Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required.
- Proficiency with agency management systems, particularly AMS360.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
