Job Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented, customer-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to manage client relationships and support a commercial lines insurance portfolio. This position will involve serving as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing coverage needs, resolving inquiries, and guiding clients through the insurance process. The role is ideal for a proactive problem solver who excels in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to manage and maintain a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts.
- Provide support to clients by addressing coverage inquiries, processing policy changes, and resolving service issues accurately and efficiently.
- Assist clients in identifying and evaluating insurance needs while offering tailored coverage solutions to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate with producers and underwriters in the preparation of insurance proposals, quotations, and renewal packages.
- Maintain up-to-date client records and ensure accuracy in management systems.
- Conduct periodic account reviews to address changes in clients' risk profiles and ensure proper coverage is in place.
- Educate clients on insurance products, coverage options, and industry trends to help them make informed decisions.
- Contribute to departmental goals by collaborating on initiatives and mentoring junior team members as necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and carrier programs to provide expert guidance to clients.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Proven experience as an Account Manager, preferably in Commercial Lines Insurance, or experience in a related client-service-oriented role.
- Active insurance license (Property & Casualty) or willingness to obtain one within an established timeframe.
- Strong knowledge of insurance coverage options, endorsements, and the underwriting process.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in insurance management systems (e.g., AMS360, Applied Epic) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to deliver exceptional service.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
