President – Independent Insurance Agency

Job Summary

Seeking a dynamic and experienced President to lead a well-established, independent insurance agency with a strong reputation for excellence and growth. This role is a unique opportunity for a proven insurance executive to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, and leadership development within a thriving organization. The President will oversee all aspects of the agency's operations, ensuring financial performance, fostering strong relationships with carriers and partners, and championing a culture of accountability and success.

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $250,000
  • Bonus: Performance-based
  • Work Schedule: 4 days per week in-office

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the agency.
  • Oversee full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, and optimizing profitability.
  • Lead and develop senior leadership, directly managing Sales Leaders, VP of Finance, VP of Operations, Training Team, and Marketing Team
  • Supervise and guide a team of 85+ employees.
  • Drive sales development and growth strategy, including producer performance, pipeline management, and market expansion.
  • Utilize analytics and data-driven insights to enhance operational and sales performance.
  • Lead and maintain senior-level carrier negotiations and relationships.
  • Serve as the primary executive interface with real estate presidents and strategic partners.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, leadership development, and operational excellence.
  • Ensure compliance, risk management, and adherence to operational best practices.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven senior executive leadership experience within an independent insurance agency or a closely related insurance environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing P&L, driving growth initiatives, and leading complex organizations.
  • Strong expertise in sales leadership, analytics, and performance management.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively with insurance carriers.
  • Track record as a leader of leaders, with the ability to inspire, coach, and hold executives accountable.
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on execution and results.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
