About the Role
Our client, a leading national insurance carrier, is seeking a Regional Property Risk Engineering Manager to oversee a team of Risk Engineers supporting mid-size to large commercial property accounts. This leader will drive technical excellence, ensure consistent risk assessment practices, strengthen broker and client relationships, and support profitable underwriting results across the region.
This is a highly visible role that blends people leadership, technical expertise, and strategic partnership with underwriting, claims, and distribution teams.

Job Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in Property Risk Engineering, Loss Control, or Risk Management within commercial insurance.
- 3+ years of leadership or team-lead experience preferred.
- Strong technical expertise in:
- Fire protection systems
- Construction types and materials
- COPE data and property risk scoring
- Manufacturing, industrial, or large commercial property risks
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Fire Protection, Risk Management, or related field (preferred).
- Professional designations such as CFPS, PE, ARM, or CSP are a plus.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 40–50%.
Job Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop a regional team of Property Risk Engineers.
- Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and support ongoing technical training.
- Ensure consistent risk engineering methodologies and quality across the team.
- Partner with HR and Recruiting on hiring and workforce planning.
- Oversee risk assessments, surveys, loss analyses, and engineering reports for commercial property accounts.
- Collaborate with Underwriting to support new business, renewals, and large-account opportunities.
- Serve as the regional point of contact for brokers, clients, and strategic partners.
- Identify emerging risk trends and contribute to product development and engineering standards.
