About the Company

Our client is a well-established national insurance carrier known for its innovative products, financial stability, and customer-first approach. They are seeking a Director of Product Development to lead the design, enhancement, and execution of new and existing insurance products that drive growth and profitability across multiple lines of business.

Compensation:

  • $150,000 - $170,000/year base salary plus annual performance bonus.

Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the strategic development and management of insurance products across assigned lines of business.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements.
  • Partner with underwriting and actuarial teams on pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Ensure product filings meet regulatory and compliance requirements in all jurisdictions.
  • Oversee the product development roadmap and manage projects from concept to rollout.
  • Monitor product performance, analyzing trends to optimize pricing, coverage, and profitability.
  • Collaborate with marketing and distribution teams to support sales growth and product adoption.
  • Manage and mentor a team of product analysts and managers to support development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in insurance product management or product development (P&C preferred).
  • Strong understanding of product design, pricing, underwriting, and regulatory processes.
  • Proven success developing and launching insurance products in a carrier environment.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and drive strategic initiatives.
