Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; JD or CPCU designation a plus.
- 5+ years of claims handling experience, with specific expertise in New York Labor Law (240/241) claims.
- Strong technical knowledge of liability, coverage, and litigation processes.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and timeliness.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes.
Job Description:
- Handle a portfolio of high-exposure New York Labor Law (240/241) claims from initial investigation through final resolution.
- Analyze coverage, liability, and damages to set and maintain accurate reserves.
- Develop and execute litigation and settlement strategies in coordination with defense counsel.
- Attend mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as necessary.
- Provide clear, timely communication to insureds, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company best practices, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior claims staff and serve as a subject matter expert on Labor Law claims.
