Senior Claims Specialist – Financial Lines

 

Job Summary
A highly skilled and experienced Senior Claims Specialist – Financial Lines is needed to join a professional and growing team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute expertise and make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

 

Compensation Package

  • Base Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 annually
  • Comprehensive benefits package

 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of pending claims across both primary and excess policies.
  • Handle claims across multiple financial lines, including Directors & Officers (D&O), Errors & Omissions (E&O), and Employment Practices Liability (EPL).
  • Evaluate coverage, establish reserves, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel, vendors, and internal teams to resolve claims efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide strategic updates to leadership and support underwriting teams with insights into emerging trends and claim developments.
  • Represent the company in mediations, settlement discussions, and broker meetings.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor (J.D.) required.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience with a specialty insurance carrier or law firm handling claims in D&O, E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime/Fidelity lines.
  • Strong understanding of financial lines insurance policies and claims processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to travel for mediations and other business needs.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a professional setting.
