Job Summary

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter – Global Casualty to join our client's growing underwriting team. In this role, you will be responsible for underwriting and managing a portfolio of complex casualty risks across multinational accounts. The position requires strong technical expertise, relationship management skills, and the ability to craft tailored risk solutions that align with company underwriting strategies.

 

Salary

  • $120,000 to $140,000+/year
  • Annual bonus target

Job Description

  • Underwrite and manage a diverse portfolio of global casualty risks, including general liability, products liability, and umbrella/excess programs.
  • Evaluate risk submissions, determine pricing, terms, and conditions within underwriting authority.
  • Collaborate with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders to structure innovative casualty programs.
  • Negotiate effectively with brokers and clients to win and retain profitable business.
  • Analyze market trends and emerging risks to inform underwriting decisions and portfolio strategy.
  • Partner with actuarial, claims, and legal teams to ensure proper risk assessment and profitable growth.
  • Contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior underwriters.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or industry designations (CPCU, ARM, etc.) preferred.
  • 5–10 years of casualty underwriting experience, with strong knowledge of global/multinational accounts.
  • Proven ability to manage complex accounts and provide creative underwriting solutions.
  • Strong broker and client relationships within the casualty market.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative global underwriting team.
