Job Summary
Looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join a team as an AVP, Cyber/Technology/Media/Crime Claims. This leadership role involves managing a team of claims professionals handling complex claims, including litigation, in the areas of Cyber, Technology Professional Liability, Media, and Crime. The successful candidate will combine technical expertise in claims handling, strong leadership capabilities, and a commitment to driving team performance and engagement.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $175,000 - $205,000 per year, plus performance-based bonus.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of claims professionals, fostering engagement, development, and high performance.
- Oversee claims handling processes, including coverage analysis, litigation management, and negotiation.
- Ensure adherence to best practices through managerial diary and file audits.
- Provide guidance on complex coverage analyses, including claim denials.
- Act as the escalation point for customers and brokers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Allocate new claims and manage claim transfers based on severity.
- Prepare and participate in reserve analysis, roundtable presentations, and claims trend reporting.
- Collaborate with underwriting and actuarial teams to provide feedback and insights.
- Play an active role in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of team members.
- Identify and address key issues and trends, providing solutions to senior claims management.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of claims handling experience. A JD from an ABA-accredited law school may supplement claims handling experience.
- At least 5 years of experience handling Cyber, Technology E&O, and Media claims (Cyber and Tech E&O are mandatory).
- 4+ years of claims management experience, preferably across multiple jurisdictions.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Expert knowledge of claims handling practices, including coverage analysis, litigation management, and negotiation.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Cyber, Technology, Media, and Crime claims.
- Proven track record of advancing product innovation and improving claims processes.
- Technical leadership skills with the ability to address challenges effectively.
