Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Employee Benefits Senior Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing employee benefits accounts, building strong client relationships, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. You will collaborate with internal teams to implement creative solutions for clients, maintain compliance with regulatory standards, and ensure timely and seamless management of benefit programs.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, and internal teams to manage and oversee employee benefits accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships by understanding their needs and providing exceptional service.
  • Assist clients with the strategic planning and implementation of employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, and voluntary benefits.
  • Conduct coverage reviews, analyze plan designs, provide recommendations, and support client renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, such as ACA, HIPAA, and ERISA, and keep clients informed of updates.
  • Advocate for clients during renewal negotiations, benefit plan changes, and claim escalations.
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and open enrollment sessions, providing education and clear communication about benefit options.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure client satisfaction and service excellence.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, staying current with industry trends, legislation, and employee benefits market developments.
  • Develop and foster a culture of inclusion, trust, and collaboration in all client and team interactions.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as an employee benefits account manager.
  • Strong understanding of employee benefit plans and compliance requirements (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, COBRA).
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address client issues and develop innovative benefit solutions.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and discussions with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software platforms.
  • Holds an active L&H (Life and Health) insurance license.
