About the Role:
I am working with an insurance agency north of Chicago that is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager/Team Lead to join their team. The Operations Manager/Team Lead will have overarching responsibility for all day-to-day operations. Ideal candidate has experience running the office for a small to mid-sized insurance agency, experience running a book of business, and managing account managers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Management- assist with running the office.
- Run a book of business
- Handle HR
- Has a working knowledge of the agency management software (TAM and Applied Epic).
- Improve daily organization and workflows to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
- Ensures regulatory compliance of the agency.
- Act as Team Lead and monitor production and monthly goals for 8-10 account managers.
- Fosters and maintains relationships with carriers and brokers.
- Responsible for client retention activities and engagement strategies.
- Oversees company operations along with Partners to ensure company targets for revenue and profitability are met.
- Oversees education and can provide coaching, training, and development programs to increase staff capability and agency expertise.
- Maintains and builds trusted relationships with key customers, partners, vendors, management, and stakeholders.
- Supports the Partners in all aspects of the business and operations.
Skills:
- 5 + years of Operations Manager experience from an insurance agency preferred.
- Property & Casualty agency management system preferably Applied TAM. They will be migrating to Applied Epic.
- 3+ years of experience handling Personal and Commercial Insurance Accounts/running a book of business
- Must hold an active state P&C License.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Strong insurance knowledge.
- Creative problem-solving skills along with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
Compensation Package:
- Compensation: Between $120k-$150k (based on experience) + bonus opportunities.
