Commercial Lines Account Manager - Charlotte. NC (Hybrid)
Position Overview: The Commercial Account Manager will assist both Producers and the Agency in the daily management and growth of a book of business through account retention, account rounding and new business growth.
Work Arrangement: This is a full-time position working hybrid or in-person in located in Charlotte, NC.
Professional Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to the Producer, Agency and Insured in the daily management of policies.
- Process renewals in coordination with Producer according to agency procedures
- Complete new / renewal applications in coordination with Producer and Client
- Prepare summaries of insurance, schedules and proposals as needed.
- Orders and issues binders, certificates, evidences, policies and other related items; verify their accuracy; invoice and transact, prepare client documents and policy binders (electronic and/or paper).
- Review and issue requests for Certificates or Evidence of Insurance, insuring contractual and policy compliance.
- Works with Clients, Producers and Carriers to facilitate policy change requests, obtaining the information needed for processing, verify for accuracy, facilitate any corrections, invoice, and transact.
- Review carrier audits of policies; verify accuracy and facilitate corrections as needed between the client and carrier.
- Processes incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately.
- Uses agency credit and collection policy in invoicing and pursuing prompt payments, request cancellations from the carrier according to agency standards.
- Accurately maintains the client account in Applied EPIC per procedures.
- Accompany the Producer on prospect and client meetings as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in similar role
- Current Property, Casualty Agents License
- Knowledge of insurance products and usages.
- Knowledge of insurance markets, rating and underwriting procedures.
- Familiarity with computer and word processing programs.
- Experience with Applied EPIC or similar agency management system preferred.
- College degree preferred.
- Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
- Maintains a cordial and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts.
- Keeps informed regarding industry information, new product information, legislation, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge, performance and maintain required licenses.
- Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communications skills, cooperating purposefully, and providing information and guidance, as needed, to achieve the business goals of the agency.
