Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional customer service, and actively contributing to the profitability of the agency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including but not limited to property, liability, and workers' compensation policies
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing proactive solutions
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and place coverage for clients
  • Educate clients on insurance products, coverage options, and risk management strategies
  • Prepare and present complex insurance proposals and recommendations to clients
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of policy documentation, endorsements, and certificates of insurance
  • Assist in the renewal process, including market analysis, coverage review, and premium negotiations
  • Proactively identify opportunities for account rounding and cross-selling additional lines of insurance
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and market changes to provide informed advice to clients and colleagues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain data integrity, completeness, and accuracy in agency management systems

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager or similar role within the insurance industry
  • A valid P&C (Property and Casualty) insurance license and a strong understanding of commercial insurance products and coverages
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service
  • Proficiency in agency management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in client interactions, team collaboration, and community engagement
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
