Job Summary:

The Surplus Lines Filing Specialist is responsible for managing the filing process for a 5,000–7,000 policy surplus lines program. This position ensures accurate and timely filings with state regulators, prepares quarterly and annual reports, and supports overall compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience handling a high volume of policies and maintaining regulatory compliance across multiple states. This role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Surplus Lines Filings:

    • Oversee and manage the submission of surplus lines insurance filings to state regulators, ensuring all policies (5,000–7,000 policies) are filed accurately and on time.
    • Handle the filing of policy documents, premium tax payments, and necessary reports as required by state and federal laws.
  • Quarterly and Annual Reports:

    • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual surplus lines reports to state authorities, ensuring all required information, including premium tax filings, policy summaries, and transaction records, are accurately reported.
    • Monitor deadlines and ensure all filings are completed in a timely manner.
  • Compliance Management:

    • Ensure all filings meet state-specific regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes to surplus lines regulations across various states and adjust processes accordingly to maintain compliance

 

Salary: $70k-$80k
