Your responsibilities will include assessing risks, analyzing policy applications, and collaborating with various teams to ensure effective underwriting processes. Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and underwrite insurance policies for large commercial property businesses, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze risk factors, loss history, and other relevant data to make informed underwriting decisions.
- Collaborate with brokers and agents to gather necessary information and insights into clients' businesses.
- Review policy documentation, endorsements, and renewal information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks affecting middle-market underwriting.
- Provide support and guidance to internal teams on underwriting-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Large Commercial Property Underwriter or in a similar role within the insurance industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Familiarity with insurance regulations and compliance requirements.
- Industry certifications such as CPCU or ARM are a plus.
Compensation:
- $130,000 - $150,000/year based on years of experience
- Annual bonus potential of up to 20%
