Job Description
Leading writer of auto insurance is seeking an Insurance Defense Paralegal to join their growing team! This position will support a small group of attorneys handling insurance defense cases. The ideal candidate will have experience handling cases involving No Fault/PIP, UM/UIM, & Bodily Injury Suits.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support 2-4 attorneys with discovery related tasks, medical record collection, medical summaries/chronologies, and trial preparation.
● Experience interacting with the Court, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery; coordinating medical exams, scheduling court appearances & discovery, and managing all aspects of the defense of cases from inception through trial.
● Ability to thrive in a high volume environment managing an electronic-based case load.
Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience as a paralegal handling insurance related defense cases specific to No Fault/PIP coverage, bodily injury and/or UM/UIM claims.
- Paralegal Certificate a plus or equivalent education/experience required.
- College Degree (4yr preferred)
- Legal/law firm experience preferred with civil litigation or insurance defense experience
- The candidates must possess excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills, and the ability to multitask.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and spreadsheet analysis
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary commensurate with experience. $70,000-$85,000
