Our client is seeking Assistant Personal Lines Underwriters in NYC! Please see qualifications below:

Your Impact:

• Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines.
• Makes appropriate decisions based on the evaluation of underwriting information.
• Effectively communicates and negotiates underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Documents decisions in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Acts with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/requests.
• Provides outstanding customer service.
• Assists with the underwriting on a moderate book of business with a moderate to complex risk profile.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• minimum of 1 year of experience 
• The ideal candidate comes from a wholesale insurance agency background.
• Must have the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.
• The candidate is familiar with quoting Homeowners Insurance with NY, Regional and National carriers.
• Must provide creative, analytical, and innovative thinking to inure to productive problem-solving.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A relationship with Independent Insurance Agencies is a plus.
• Applied EPIC experience is preferred
