Overview

As a Commercial Lines Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a team of commercial lines insurance professionals. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the team meets and exceeds sales targets, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and mentor a team of commercial lines insurance professionals
  • Set and monitor sales targets and KPIs for the team
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve business objectives
  • Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for business growth
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service
  • Handle escalated customer issues and provide resolution in a timely manner
  • Oversee the underwriting process and ensure compliance with industry regulations
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial lines insurance
  • Proven track record of success in a supervisory or managerial role
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial insurance products and industry trends
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in using insurance agency management systems and Microsoft Office suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Day-to-day

  • Leading and motivating the team to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Providing guidance and support to team members on sales strategies and product knowledge
  • Collaborating with other department heads to streamline operations and enhance customer experience
  • Conducting regular performance evaluations and one-on-one meetings with team members
  • Staying updated on industry trends and market conditions
  • Resolving escalated customer issues and ensuring customer satisfaction
