Job Description

Our client, a leading Third-Party Administrator, is seeking to add a Remote Senior Workers Compensation Claims Examiner. This role will consist of handling mid to complex Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in California Workers’ Compensation Law and have the ability to work remotely!

 

  • Handle moderate to complex workers compensation claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
  • Investigate lost time claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives; determine compensability under applicable state statutes.
  • Communicate with medical providers to develop and authorize appropriate treatment plans.
  • Review and analyze medical bills to confirm charges and treatments are injury-related and in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
  • Must be well-versed in CA Workers’ Compensation Law
  • Must have their SIP.
  • Must have experience handling litigated files.
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required.

 

Salary/Benefits:

  • $85,000 - $95,000 +/year (based on experience)
